Kvo, your statements demonstrate your ignorance. Xx years agone MacOS may accept been the platform of option for designers, illustrators, and photo editors, but obviously that isn't the case any longer. Back then, Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator and most other "artistic" applications were released for Macs outset because the programmers who made these applications worked on Macs. If your statements are to exist believed, that would mean that the other 95% of the current calculator market who use PCs, Linux, etc. contain very few pro photographers and creatives. That'due south not simply ridiculous, but completely untrue. Do you seriously recollect that most MS Windows users are simply working with Office, Excel, and other non-artistic apps? Become real. A very useful, usable piece of software. I would like to practice a head-to-head with Apple's Aperture, but they (Apple tree) don't accept a trial version. iPhoto is cracking for casual MAc users (and its integration with the residual of Apple's iLife suite make information technology more suited to the hobbyist) just pros will notice a lot to beloved in Lightroom. This is besides the first Adobe app that is a universal binary, so it, unlike Photoshop, runs natively on the new Intel Macs. One caveat: as a reviewer noted elsewhere, this programme generates a LOT of metadata for its library.

Eventhough Mac only fabricated up 5% of the PC'due south market, yet it'due south HUGE in the creative world. I goes to Photography seminars all the time and lxxx% of the people there uses Macs. The instructor always uses Macs.

Very nice for a free app. Stylish, functional. Kinda similar iPhoto, so I'thousand not sure of the advantage notwithstanding, but I'll go along on tweakin'.

Os 10 x.four on an eMac 1.42ghz with 1 gig of RAM and SuperDrive DVD+/-R/RW
